Default Kurzick Supplies Quest 55 Monk Running Build

edit + note: please note that this isn't a completed guide yet as there are still many things to work out on this run + my build.

Yeah..I know..Finish The Farming Guides! I'll get to them someday (still a lot of stuff going on IRL..graduation is in two days). I'll finish the guides later.

Lets get back to the main subject..

Well, first off, this quest is given to you in Ferndale (sp?) right outside of House zu Heltzer. Basicly, all you have to do is carry (physically not in inventory) a box of kurzick supplies to an NPC outside of Lutgardis Conservatory (sp? again).

The reward for this quest is: 2k exp, 400 kurzick faction, 200 gold
^pretty sure thats what it was (not sure on the gold part).

This mission is REPEATABLE meaning you can "faction farm" this run. This run IMO is much faster than Altrumm faction farming.

Heres my build:

Healing: 9
Smiting:10
Protection:13
Divine:15

Protective Spirit, Spell Breaker {E}, Healing Breeze, Rush, Blessed Signet, Mending, Balthazar's Spirit, Blessed Aura

The reason why I don't have sprint is because there is simply no space for it.

The reason for so many points into smiting is to use it in conjunction with balthazar's spirit which increases aldrenaline with higher smiting prayers (aka makes rush avaliable more often).

The reason for having blessed signet is because there are still energy issues (mainly because of spell breaker and the constant spaming of healing breeze and protective spirit). There are places where you can stop and recharge energy.

THE RUN:

I usually take a party full of henches as decoys. Try to make sure the henches survive as long as possible as they will be needed later in the run.

Keep running in the direction of the conservatory untill you hit your first ressurection shrine (recharge energy/wait for henches as needed and when possible). When you hit the shrine, be at full energy.

Cast protective spirit, healing breeze and continue running. You will see a group of dredges and a boss dredge. Cast spell breaker, healing breeze, and protective spirit (blessed signet if you needed more energy) and send whatever henches you have left at the group.

Once the group is aggro'ed by the henches run past it (and pray you dont get spiked by the group).

If you get past this, you should have no problem for the rest of the run.

Give the NPC the supplies and recieve your reward then return to HzH and repeat.

Note: I am still having trouble with the dredges+dredge boss. If anyone has some tips or a better build please post it

Good Luck!

-Tsunami

P.S. I'll update this later (more organized, picture, possible vid, etc) when I feel that my build/run is complete.

Quick question: Wouldn't Sprint be better than Rush in this build? You then wouldn't need such high smiting. What I'm trying to say is, why Rush over Sprint?

Where exactly is this? I'm confused. Are we meant to run past Tarn the Bully or somewhere different :O

Needless to say, props on trying to run this.

Because Rush is adrenaline based, and not energy based. Sprint also has a recharge time, while as long as you're taking damage, Rush can be up all the time.

In this case, I think you might be better off taking your monk as a non-55 runner.

I use a basic, full-health Mo/R build (actually, there was a thread somewhere on the forums some time ago wherein someone posted the same build I use):

Divine Favor: 16
Wilderness Survival: 12

Blessed Aura
Watchful Spirit
Blessed Signet
Spellbreaker
Purge Conditions
Serpent's Quickness
Storm Chaser
Dodge

All you have to do is make sure you activate Serpent's Quickness before Spellbreaker and Storm Chaser, as both will receive its benefits.

Purge conditions should make your experience with the Dredge quite a bit easier, providing you time it correctly.

I don't bring henchies with me, either; without them, you might occasionally be able to slip by a mob unnoticed.

Edit: Dispell Watchful Spirit, and you will receive a 190 health bonus (which comes in handy when crippled and knocked out of your stance by those annoying Dredge).

sounds like fun. I'll give it a try later. Never did bother using a non-55 build

I should have tried that (knowing that this can easily be done on a warrior with no problem).

It's 1:45 am here so I'm gonna go grab some sleep. I'll update in the morning with more testing to get this down faster and more efficient.
